Tom the manager of the Barrowland tells a nice story of Bowie doing a sound check at the Barras when a star fell of the Ballroom ceiling and landed next to him.
Rather than complain Bowie bent down, picked it up and put it in his pocket, perhaps he was saving it for a rainy day.
