The intention was clear from the very start; to
unite; to inspire; to divide; to excite; to elicit the sheer visceral thrill that all
rock and roll should aspire to.
Formed in 1998, Buddha Crush quickly gatecrashed the party, bringing their glam punk rock
stomp to T In The Park, and rioting around the country, including support to fellow Scots
punksters Idlewild. The release last year of The Glitter Is Everywhere EP gained much
critical acclaim, as well as plays by Radio 1's Mark and Lard, and praise from the Avatar
of Indie Steve Lamacq.
The recruitment of a new drummer marks a renewed vigour for the Crush, who have been in
the studio working on the long awaited follow up single.
With every intention of rising above the ordinary, with a desire to stand for something
in these jaded times, Buddha Crush are out to reclaim the noise from the boys in the
suits.
